Chatroulette Is New Age Theater
For those of you who don’t know, Chatroulette is similar to Omegle: a random chat room. You enter the room with a random, anonymous stranger, and you can chat with them. Chatroulette became famous for adding video.
You can chat with bored teenagers in their rooms at home, drunk college students, men without shirts on, Ben Folds, lonely girls.

Yes. Ben Folds opened Chatroulette, and played custom songs for the random people on the service… all in front of an audience at a concert.
This is a new type of theater, that may have been done before, where you move from room to room, and see a new type of performance. You can enter as a viewer OR a performer. What happens when 2 viewers come together? Is one forced to perform? Or what happens with 2 performers come together? Who decides to be the audience?
There are countless examples of people performing on Chatroulette. I can’t wait until a full theater performance is played over and over for a line of random individuals looking to be surprised.
